Ingredients

  • 2 cans (15 oz each) Chickpeas
  • 1 can (28 oz) Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 whole Yellow Onion
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Harissa Paste
  • 2 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1 tsp Sweet Paprika
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 tbsp Tahini
  • ¼ cup Fresh Parsley
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 loaf Crusty Bread

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion 5 minutes. Add garlic, cumin, paprika, and harissa. Stir 1 minute.
  2. Pour in crushed tomatoes. Simmer 10 minutes until sauce thickens.
  3. Add chickpeas and cook 8 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt to taste.
  4. Stir in lemon juice. Drizzle with tahini and top with fresh parsley. Serve with crusty bread for dipping.
